Best New songNoel Gallagher's High Flying Birds — Fort Knox
Posted by LetsLoop on October 27, 2017, 9:36 am Hot on the heels of baby brother @Liam Gallagher's debut solo album As You Were, former @Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher is back with his latest @High Flying Birds offering.Fort Know is the 2nd single from his band's upcoming 3rd album, Who Built the Moon?, which is out November 24th and follows up 2015's Chasing Yesterday. It will be joined on the new album by the recently released lead single, Holy Mountain.
The psychedelic new album was produced by Belfast producer, DJ and soundtrack veteran (Out Of Sight, Ocean's 11, Hunger, Logan Lucky & more) @David Holmes and features guest appearances from former @The Jam frontman @Paul Weller and @Johnny Marr from @The Smiths.
Here's what Noel had to say about his new single:
"It was the last track finished on the last day in the studio. It started from a conversation talking about the @Kanye West track Power. The singer Y-See, had never even heard the track and she started to do this vocal over it and it was like: fucking hell! It all just fell in to place."
And here's what David Holmes had to say about the upcoming album:
"People are going to be surprised. I think people love Noel and they’re desperate for him to make a really big, bold, up-tempo beast of a record—a lot of Noel’s music is quite mid-tempo. This one is fun."
If you're not familiar with Noel's non-Oasis work, then here are a few High Flying Birds tracks to get you started: If I Had a Gun..., Ballad of the Mighty I, AKA... What a Life!, The Death of You and Me, Everybody's On the Run and Riverman.
