Before Edmonton born Tommy Chong became famous as part of the Cheech & Chong comedy duo, he was a member of the Vancouver based band, Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers. They signed with Motown records in 1965. Their debut record was "Does Your Mama Know About Me" released in 1968.
