Best New songArcade Fire — Everything Now
Posted by LetsLoop on June 1, 2017, 8:23 pm Everything Now is the lead single & title track to Montreal indie-rock ensemble @Arcade Fire's upcoming 5th album, Everything Now, which is out July 28th and follows up 2013's Reflektor. The song was produced by Arcade Fire, @Pulp's Steve Mackey and @Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter (who also plays synthesizers on the track) and was arranged by frequent collaborator & touring member @Owen Pallett. The album also features contributions from @Portishead's Geoff Barrow.
Here's what frontman Win Butler had to say about their new single:
"There’s sort of an everything-nowness to life. I feel like almost every event and everything that happens surrounds you on all sides. It’s trying to capture some of the experiences of being alive now in all its flaws and all its glory."
Arcade Fire have also announced their Infinite Content tour, featuring support from @Broken Social Scene, @Angel Olsen, @PHANTOGRAM, @Wolf Parade and more. Head over to the Concerts tab on their profile page to see if they're playing near you and grab some tickets.
Everything Now is Arcade Fire's first new song since the release of their @Mavis Staples collaboration, I Give You Power, earlier this year.
If you're new to the band and want to hear more, or if it's just been a while since you gave them a spin, we highly recommend listening to Wake Up, The Suburbs, Rebellion (Lies), Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains), Reflektor, Ready To Start, Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) or anything from their Funeral, Neon Bible, The Suburbs or Reflektor albums. In short, everything they've ever recorded. Enjoy!
