Posted by LetsLoop on August 8, 2017, 10:57 am Glowing Brightly is the gorgeous 2nd single from Brooklyn indie-pop band @Florist's upcoming sophomore album, If Blue Could Be Happiness, which is out September 29th and follows up their excellent 2016 debut, The Birds Outside Sang.Frontwoman Emily Sprague wrote the song while mourning her mother, who died in March. Here's what she had to say about the track and how she finds peace in nature, specifically the Catskill Mountains:
"That's where my imagination lives and where my internal world still takes place when I need to find peace in whatever pain my life is currently dealing out"
If Blue Could Be Happiness will also feature the recently released lead single, What I Wanted To Hold.

Glowing Brightly lyrics:
Woke up feeling bad again
The window always shows me where I am
But now darkness won’t allow me to show you who I am
or maybe it’s the light either way I do not know
Arizona I wanna go there
Pacific Ocean I wanna go there
The memory of a life, a scatter shot a tideless sea
where the deepest is death and we are
floating towards nothing
Catskill Mountains I will always come back to you
Mom I love you I still hear your voice inside my sleep
Next time you see me I’ll be glowing brightly
outside with the birds in the middle of the yard
What a place, what a place for us
Forests, fields, oceans, lakes, and the stars
When I say nothing it’s just because I like the sound
I just want love I just want sun I just want your company
Silhouette of a mountain in the dark
Is there anything more beautiful than afternoon?
Or a quiet summer night while the rainstorm gently cries
