Posted by LetsLoop on July 28, 2015, 1:34 am 80s post-punk & electronic music legends New Order have announced details for their upcoming 10th album Music Complete (out Sept 25th) & shared the lead single Restless. Music Complete follows up 2009's Lost Sirens, but is technically their first new material since 2005 as all the tracks were recorded during the production of Waiting for the Sirens' Call; it will also be their first album without Peter Hook. Don't let that put you off though, from the sound of this track they're coping just fine without him.New Order, who were formed out of the remaining members of @Joy Division after the tragic suicide of Ian Curtis, became one of the most influential bands of the 80s thanks to classics like Blue Monday (still the best selling 12" of all time) and despite a few bumps in the road continued recording music right into the naughties. They've broken up a couple of times and started various side-projects: Bernard Sumner created @Electronic with @Johnny Marr of @The Smiths (Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe from @Pet Shop Boys & Karl Bartos of @Kraftwerk were also collaborators) and Peter Hook formed @Monaco (you may remember their hit What Do You Want from Me? back in 1997), so it's great to have them back! If you want to explore their back catalogue a bit we highly recommend their Singles compilation.
