It's that time of year again... the nominees for the 2015 #MercuryPrize are finally here and as always there are a few surprise omissions & additions. The biggest surprise omission is Get to Heaven by @Everything Everything, especially as it was the bookies favourite to win before the list was announced. We're also kinda shocked to not see @Blur, @Laura Marling, @Foals or @The Maccabees on there. Additions wise it's no surprise to see a few smaller artists like @C Duncan, @Eska & @Benjamin Clementine getting some well-deserved love, but it is a bit of a (pleasant) shock to see @Gaz Coombes making the list 20 years after he his nomination for I Should Coco with @Supergrass.
If you're anything like us you probably won't be familiar with every album, so we thought we'd make a playlist with a couple of songs from each to help you all get started (alphabetical order to show no bias). The bookies favourites are @Jamie xx & @Florence + The Machine, but we'd love to know what you think... out of the 12 who do you think deserves to win, who shouldn't be on the list and who should be?
