With the 2015 #MercuryPrize just around the corner (shortlist on 16th Oct, winner on 20th Nov), we thought we'd revisit some of the past winners by pulling together a playlist with a song from each album.
There have been some great winners over the years: Screamadelica by @Primal Scream in 1992, Dummy by @Portishead in 1995, Let England Shake by @PJ Harvey in 2011, but there have also been a few controversial snubs: New Forms by @Roni Size beating OK Computer by @Radiohead in 1997 comes to mind. Either way, there is no greater celebration of British Music or the album than the Mercury Prize and we can't wait to see what this year brings. Could In Colour help @Jamie xx be the first person to win 2 prizes under different names (he's also in @The xx if the name wasn't enough of a clue)? Who knows. Either way, we can't wait. ~ posted by Rick
