Posted by LetsLoop on September 15, 2017, 10:45 am Black Rainbows is the third single from Australian synthpop outfit @Cut Copy's upcoming fifth album, Haiku From Zero, which is September 22nd and follows up 2013's Free Your Mind. It will be joined on the new album by the recently released Standing In The Middle Of The Field and the excellent lead single, Airborne. Here's what frontman Dan Whitford had to say about the new album:
"So much of this album is about this mosaic of information, images that we're surrounded by on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes it feels like overload, but there's a weird random beauty in it. The idea of squeezing poetry form chaos was where the title of the album came from - the idea of finding something poetic in the overload."
If you're wondering what the Aussies have been up to since 2013, they've released a bunch of mixes, including 2014's Oceans Apart and last year's January Tape.
Bass player @Ben Browning also shared his debut solo album, Turns, in 2015.
If you're new to Cut Copy and want to hear more, we highly recommend listening to Lights & Music, Hearts On Fire, Free Your Mind, Need You Now and Take Me Over.
