Posted by LetsLoop on November 30, 2015, 4:02 amBlackstar is the lead single to David Bowie's upcoming 28th(!) album & is one of his most ambitious, experimental and, at times, bizarre (you gotta check out the video) efforts in years. It might take you several listens, but this really is quite special. And if you think this is a bit out there, it turns out that @Death Grips were a major inspiration when recording the new album - yup, these guys!
Other influences include @Boards of Canada, @LCD Soundsystem (James Murphy plays drums on a couple of tracks) and just to mix things up even more, it turns out he was listening to "a lot" of @Kendrick Lamar when he was recording it. Whether it will turn out to be a bizarre flop or a work of genius we'll have to wait till January 8th to find out, but one things for sure... it won't be boring!!
