Posted by LetsLoop on June 14, 2017, 2:07 pmTrouble + Me is the second single from @Ghostpoet (aka Obaro Ejimiwe)'s much-anticipated 4th album, Dark Days & Canapés, which is out August 18th and follows up his #MercuryPrize nominated 2013 album, Shedding Skin. It will be joined on the new album by the recently released lead single, Immigrant Boogie.
Dark Days & Canapés is a slight change of direction for Ghostpoet and sees him ditching the electronic sound of his recent albums in favour of a more guitar-centric sound, inspired in part by sessions with Leo Abrahams.
Here's what Obaro had to say about his new album:
"There’s a sort of life-force that Leo and the other musicians brought to this record, and that was crucial. I want people to listen to the songs and be able to say, ‘So Isn’t just me then? Phew.'"
