Posted by LetsLoop on July 14, 2015, 2:27 amTo coincide with the release of "What Happened, Miss Simone?" on Netflix, a bunch of artists led by producer @Robert Glasper & co-exec producer @Lauryn Hill (who's on 6 tracks) have come together to re-record some of her best known songs. Along with Ms. Hill, there are songs from @Usher, @Mary J. Blige, @Common, @Jazmine Sullivan & @Gregory Porter, who had the unenviable task of tackling Sinnerman. It was always going to be a tricky project - how do you improve on Nina? - but there are some great versions here so it's definitely worth checking out.
