ZachsMind added a few words about his loop

As I watched this video just now, for the first time perhaps since I was a child, one curious thing came to my mind now that would not have occurred to me when I was five: either Streisand and Bacharach had something private going on the side that I don't know about, or Stevie Nicks was right when she wrote "players only love you when they're playing." Perhaps Streisand's just hamming it up for the camera. She was known to do that. Her face is that of a woman in love with the man before her. Maybe I'm wrong. She's an actress. Maybe she's just really good at faking it, but Burt did write a song for her. Heck, he wrote plenty for her over the years. If there wasn't something going on between them, there should have been. Or maybe what they shared transcended the base feral imaginings to which I'm weak. Perhaps these two loved each other on a plane of existence where sex would have demeaned it. Their love was for The Craft of singer/songwriting. They simply embodied it within one another. Still. I like to imagine they had a fling... then again he was married to Angie Dickinson at the time. Had i been in his shoes in 1971 (and not in kindergarten) I probably woulda stayed with Angie too, but I woulda been tempted. I mean look at Barbra's face. Just look at it. Ships have sailed and wars have been fought for a face like that. Men have killed and died to return home to a face like that.

If Burt didn't do more than write a song for Barbra, he's a better man than me.

Great footage, big Bacharach fan here....thanks for posting!

Holy is Bacharach still managing to play in tune? Is there a comic version of this with Mel Brooks playing the piano instead, if not, there should be.
